Liftway – PM -A- Service Program
Liftway Limited offers specific programs depending on the type of forklift you own. Basic standard programs are designed for both internal combustion and electric trucks. We provide a three stage approach (Schedule A, B and C) to a full maintenance program. This program can be customized to meet your usage and environment.
Internal Combustion Forklift – “A” Service (200 hours)
General Inspection– Clean truck if possible as required. Check tires for wear and damage, check seat condition and seat belt operation. For LPG trucks check fuel tank bracket. Check for fire extinquisher and fully charged.
Electrical – check horn, gauges and dash indicator lights, charging system, starter, battery, cables and all lighting and electrical accessories.
Cooling System – Check radiator and clean out dust if possible as required, check coolant level and add as required, check radiator cap, fan belts and hoses.
Engine – Change oil and oil filter. Clean or replace air filter as required. Inspect all ignition components. Check fuel components for proper operation.
Transmission – check transmission fluid level and condition. Check operation, listen and report any strange transmission noises.
Brakes – Check operation, check pedal operation, check and add fluid if required. Check parking brake lever and operation.
Hydraulics – Check fluid level and add as required. Check hydraulic pump, valves and lines for wear and leakage.
Steering System – Service all greasable components – check axle for wear and play. Check steering gear unit for wear, sounds and operation. Check power steering cylinder for leaks and damage. Check fluid if it is seperate from hydraulic system.
Mast – Check all cylinders (lift, tilt, attachment) for leaks and damage. Check mast and carriage operation for wear and operation. Grease any zerk fittings on mast and trunnions. Check forks for wear and damage – latch pins functioning.
PM “B” Service – PM “C” Service
Electric Forklifts – “A” Service (200 hours)
General Inspection– Clean truck if possible as required. Check tires for wear and damage, check seat condition and seat belt operation.
Electrical – check horn, gauges and dash indicator lights, power cables and plugs, wiring harnesses and all lighting and electrical accessories. Inspect contactors for condition and operation. Inspect all microswitches and adjust as necessary. Check speed potentiometer and adjust as required.
Battery– Check electrolyte level, top up as required. Load test and ground test. Check battery cable and connector.
Brakes – Check operation, check pedal operation, check and add fluid if required. Check parking brake lever and operation.
Hydraulics – Check fluid level and add as required. Check hydraulic pump, valves and lines for wear and leakage.
Steering System – Service all greasable components – check axle for wear and play. Check steering gear unit for wear, sounds and operation. Check power steering cylinder for leaks and damage. Check fluid if it is seperate from hydraulic system.
Mast – Check all cylinders (lift, tilt, attachment) for leaks and damage. Check mast and carriage operation for wear and operation. Grease any zerk fittings on mast and trunnions Check forks for wear and damage & latch pins functioning.
Wheels – Check load and caster wheels for wear. Grease all fittings.
